The work of five artists under the age of 30 will be on display in the West Hartford Art League’s second annual “Emerging Artists” exhibit opening Thursday, Jan. 12, from 6-8 p.m.
This juried exhibit was open to recent art school graduates looking to pursue a professional career as an artist or in the art field.The artists were chosen by William Morrison, of the William Morrison Gallery in Kent, CT.
Jessica Fallis, Rachel Rubenbauer, Julie Weaver, Jiannan Wu, and Keith Tang will each be exhibiting a body of recent work in the West Hartford Art League’s two galleries at 37 Buena Vista Rd. Mediums include oil painting, ceramics, sculpture and illustration.
There will be an artist talk by the artists Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 1 p.m The public is invited to attend.
The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 5, 2017, and was funded in part by the Edward and Ann Roberts Foundation.
Gallery hours are Thursday – Sunday from 1-4 p.m.
