Former Distinguished Air Force Surgeon to Speak at The McAuley

Former Chief Air Force Surgeon and leading preventive medicine physician Dr. Roger Landry will speak about ‘The Simple Truths to Aging Successfully and with Resilience’ at The McCauley in West Hartford on Sept. 16.

Dr. Roger Landry, MD, MPH is a retired, highly-decorated full colonel, former chief flight surgeon at the Air Force Surgeon General’s Office in Washington, and a preventive medicine physician who has spent more than a decade smashing stereotypes of aging and redefining the possibilities of older adulthood. He has conducted extensive practical research on the influence of lifestyle on the aging process and compiled his findings in his first book Live Long, Die Short: A Guide to Authentic Health and Successful Aging, and is touring the country discussing his life-altering plan and referendum for change.

Dr. Landry will be presenting on September 16 at 7:00 p.m. in The McAuley Auditorium. While the event is free and open to the public, reservations must be made in advance by calling 860.920.6319.

Copies of his book will be available for sale and signing that evening.

Dr. Roger Landry is a preventive medicine physician, author of award-winning Live Long, Die Short: A Guide to Authentic Health and Successful Aging and President of Masterpiece Living, a group of multi- discipline specialists in aging who partner with communities to assist them in becoming destinations for continued growth. Trained at Tufts University School of Medicine and Harvard University School of Public Health, Dr. Landry specializes in building environments that empower older adults to maximize their unique potential.
