Friday night lights has finally become a “thing” in West Hartford.

Our community has long embraced the entertainment and camaraderie that high school football brings to the town, and the installation of the professional-grade lights and the enhancements to the concession stand over the past couple of years has only made the experience better. “Friday Night Lights” games at Hall have become must-see events, packing the stadium to cheer on Hall’s football team, as well as to see old friends and support the community.

This Friday night, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m., Hall High School will host rival Southington High School. Southington is a tough opponent and its fans always show up at away games in large numbers, so make sure to come out and support the Hall team this Friday!

The concession stand will be open throughout the game serving menu items like hamburgers, hot dogs, hot popcorn, fresh spun cotton candy, and many other treats. If you’re interested in volunteering to help out at the concession stand, contact Monte Henderson at [email protected]. All proceeds from the concession stand go back to fun and educational programs for the students.

Only three home games remain this season: Hall vs. Southington on Oct. 6, Hall vs. Manchester on Oct. 27, and Hall vs. Windsor on Nov. 10. There is plenty of parking at the high school and all games start at 7 p.m. Admission to the games is $5 for adults, $3 for high school students, and $1 for middle schoolers/senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the gate on game day.

Hall High School football is not only for sports fanatics. It’s for anyone looking for an opportunity to get the family out of the house and off the screens for affordable, family-friendly fun while supporting the local community. It’s not just about the numbers on the scoreboard … it’s about bringing West Hartford together.
