It has been exactly a month since we officially removed the “Beta” tag from We-Ha.com and announced the official launch of West Hartford’s hyperlocal news site.

We’ve gotten some really good feedback from the West Hartford community. Readers are happy to see some regular features like the Business Buzz column (which appears every Monday), round-ups of Conard and Hall sports (Wednesdays), Thursday Throwback (naturally, on Thursdays), and Real Estate Transfers (also on Thursdays).

We have reported on some really interesting and popular stories, even breaking the news about West Hartford earning a top 50 spot in Time/Money Magazine’s list of the country’s top small cities. Other stories which have received a lot of attention include Lollipop Tree Preschool’s bone marrow drive, bear sightings on the increase in some West Hartford neighborhoods,West Hartford’s leading role in trying to bring a Gig network to the state, West Hartford’s fashion week, and news about back-to-school. The first-person account of the West Hartford Police Department’s Distracted Driving Detail was also very popular.

We’ve also got some great new columnists, Date Doctor Jaimy Blazynski and Susan Schaefer.

One way that digital news sites measure success is in terms of page views, and we’re already nearing the 30,000 mark for the past 30 days. And the numbers continue to grow every day.

If you like what you are reading, please let us know help us spread the news about We-Ha.com! Please encourage your friends and neighbors to Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter. And because we don’t share every single story on social media, and some people aren’t active on social media, please subscribe to our email newsletter by clicking on this link.

If there is anything you don’t like about the site, please let us know that as well in the comment section below.

Of course we want to share your news, too, so please send press releases and news tips to [email protected].
