JCC Sharks Swimmers Honored at Banquet

There were 21 Mandell JCC Sharks honored at the fall 2014 Connecticut Swimming Banquet.

On Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, Connecticut Swimming had its annual banquet to honor the top 16 swimmers in each event for the 2013-2014 swim season. The Mandell JCC Sharks were well represented, having 21 swimmers honored.

Honorees included Jamie Amell, Mitchell Baboff, Gracey Boman, Ethan Brown, Tahlia Crowley, Maddie Crowley, Kobe Dominguez, Samantha Hagberg, Maddie Hagberg, Ian Harker, Patrick Keith, Will Layden, Charlotte Otis, Alissa Palmer, Mason Revis, Jett Rosner, Erin Shea, Jack Wassik and Ben Zamstein. In addition, 2 former Sharks swimmers Abbey Fusco and Maggie Purvis were honored. Abbey is a freshman at George Washington University and Maggie, a freshman at Marist. Both girls swim for their respective schools.

Further honors were given to swimmer Mason Revis as a Junior National Qualifier and Tahlia Crowley, as a member of the Connecticut zone relay team who broke a zone record in March 2014. Coach Laudati applauded the efforts of the swimmers, stating, “I am very proud of the work of all of the Sharks and even more excited about the future of the team.”

The Mandell JCC Sharks Swim Team is made up of swimmers from all over the state of Connecticut. Sharks practices are held at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT.
