Chris Barnes is the best candidate to represent the 19th House District (portions of Avon, Farmington, and West Hartford) in the General Assembly.
In the seventeen years that I have known Chris, starting when we worked together at an international law firm in Hartford, he has always been a tireless advocate for those he serves. Chris is smart and works hard.
Chris’s experience on the West Hartford Town Council makes him uniquely qualified to represent the 19th District. He is the only candidate for that seat who has held elected office. This matters.
Through hundreds of hours of volunteer Council service Chris has become an expert on how to tackle issues that confront West Hartford and suburbs like Farmington and Avon. Anyone who has met Chris or attended Council meetings will tell you that Chris is a skilled, patient and respectful listener. He genuinely cares about and stands up for the residents he serves. He is very thorough and reviews all relevant facts before casting an important vote. Recently, when West Hartford had to decide what to do with the large UConn campus on Trout Brook Drive, Chris listened to his constituents and fought for a wise approach that kept West Hartford’s options open until more information could be gathered about the best way to use the property.
Voters in the 19th District can be confident that Chris will bring to the General Assembly the excellent qualities he has already demonstrated in elected public service. Vote for Chris Barnes on November 8!
