More Than 30 Area Designers to be Displayed at Junior League Show House

The Junior League of Hartford has formally announced the list of designers and landscape professionals who are transforming 64 Orchard Rd., West Hartford into the 2015 Decorator Show House.

The Junior League of Hartford is pleased to announce the interior decorators and landscape professionals who will be participating in the 2015 Decorator Show House located at 64 Orchard Road in West Hartford, CT.

Every three years, the Junior League of Hartford takes over a notable home or estate in the Greater Hartford area and selects regional designers and landscapers to transform the interior spaces and surrounding grounds, then sells tickets for public viewing. The Show House will be open to the public from April 25 – May 17, 2015 with notable special events throughout the month.

The following interior decorators and landscape architects from throughout the area have been selected based upon their exquisite storyboards and wide range of talent:

Avon

  • Edith Whitman, Edith Whitman Interiors – Library
  • Keatha McCue & Cynthia Kranz, Galway Stallard – Master Bedroom
  • Ann Wolinsky, AKB Design – Second Floor Hallway Full Bathroom

Bloomfield

  • Liz Harrington, Harrington’s Organic Land Care – Exterior Raised Bed Garden

Burlington

  • Kristen McCory, McCory Interiors – Foyer/ Second Floor Hallway

Canton

Tickets to the Show House will be sold in advance for $25 until April 24, 2015 through the Junior League of Hartford website: JLHartford.org. Tickets are also available at the door for $35.

“The Junior League of Hartford is excited to host our thirteenth Decorator Show House and we are honored to be working once again with some of the areas most talented designers and landscapers,” said Laura Hughes, Junior League of Hartford President.

“From ticket sales and decorator sales, to the Show House boutique, funds raised go to support the programs and projects of the Junior League of Hartford, which are currently aimed at Empowering Women and Girls to Overcome Obstacles. We look forward to another incredible year with this signature event.”

Since 1979, the Show House has been the League’s signature fund raising event, having raised more than $1.6 million.
