Park Road Parade Winners Announced

West Hartford’s iconic Park Road Parade was held on Saturday, Oct. 7, and participants were judged on a variety of criteria.

The Park Road Association and parade committee thank the community, parade participants, volunteers and sponsors for another successful Park Road Parade.

More than 70 groups marched the parade route from South Highland to South Quaker Lane with more than 7,500 spectators cheering them on.

Darlene Zoller and Rick Fountain of Playhouse of Park judged the groups as they walked passed the review stand.

The 2017 parade winners are:

BEST FLOAT: Friends of Feeney, Wolcott Elementary School

BEST OVERALL PERFORMANCE: Coogan School of Irish Dance

BEST COSTUME: Captain Mahogany Hains (a.k.a. Chip Ames)

BEST MUSICAL PERFORMANCE: Calvary Fellowship

BEST COMMUNITY SPIRIT: Whiting Lane School’s Rockin’ Readers
