With great excitement, St. Brigid-St. Augustine: A Partnership School, in conjunction with our St. Mary School’s families, proudly celebrated their first eighth grade class graduation since they merged one year ago in June of 2016. This momentous occasion took place on Friday, June 9 at St. Brigid Church in West Hartford.

This particular graduation class is the culmination of an amazing yearlong journey for St. Brigid-St. Augustine School. Many of the families witnessed not only the sudden closing of their very own schools but their parishes as well. The opportunity for these students to attend St. Brigid-St. Augustine School has been the answer to their prayers for access to a Catholic school strategically located between Hartford, Newington, and New Britain.

Principal Shevon Hickey stated, “This has been a true testament of our faith. Every day we told our students God is good all the time! Initially, as a school, we faced a multitude of uncertainties. Last year at this time, we started this process with our belief that God would successfully guide us through the school year.”

Hickey continued, “As God would have it, the merger of St. Brigid and St. Augustine Schools and welcoming our St. Mary School families has been a wonderful blessing for our families, their children, and our faculty,”

As a Catholic school community made up of multiple schools, St. Brigid-St. Augustine School proudly celebrates a combined total of 202 years of strong academics, Catholic values, and enriched cultural diversity.

St. Brigid-St. Augustine School located at 100 Mayflower St. in West Hartfordis a full-time faith-based educational program committed to academic success and educating the needs of students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. For more information call: (860) 561-2130, ext. 106.
