Submitted by the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce

Each year, the West Hartford Chamber recognizes one outstanding high school senior with the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce Student Scholarship. The Scholarship is unique in that it is specifically for West Hartford students who choose to pursue a degree in business or decide to attend a technical school or two-year college. The Chamber is currently accepting applications for the $2,000 scholarship, which is co-sponsored by Westfarms Mall.

“The Chamber strives to support, educate and develop students in West Hartford, as the future of our workforce,” said Barbara Lerner, Executive Director of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce. “Awarding this scholarship to a deserving senior not only helps a local student defray the cost of a college education, but also helps further the Chamber’s mission to encourage the development of business and enhance the quality of life in our community. It’s a win-win.”

The application is available below as a PDF, online at whchamber.com, or at the guidance offices at Conard and Hall high schools. Interested students must apply by May 23, 2016. The winner will be honored at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on June 20, 2016.
