Simsbury Bank is pleased to announce their free Shred Day on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at their West Hartford Branch, 1232 Farmington Ave., West Hartford, CT. The event will run from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Protect yourself from identity theft and prevent fraud by having documents containing your personal and private information, such as paper financial statements, securely shredded at this on-site document shred event.  It’s a perfect time to consider enrolling for banking eStatements instead of paper. This event is presented in conjunction with the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce.

“At Simsbury Bank we pride ourselves in excellent customer service. Free Shred Day will allow us to make sure our customers’ documents are disposed of properly, as well as uphold our commitment to do what we can for our environment and the community.” said Ken Sklodosky, vice president and senior market manager of the West Hartford branch.

Simsbury Bank staff will be on-hand at their branch at 1232 Farmington Ave. in West Hartford including on how to go paperless with Simsbury Bank eStatements.

Safe and secure paper shredding will be provided by InfoShred. Bring up to three boxes/bags of paper (per person) for on-site confidential shredding. You may leave in staples, paper clips, and envelopes. Do not bring binders, regular trash or business shredding.
