West Hartford Women in Networking to ‘Meet’ Chrysalis Center

Programs available through the non-profit Chrysalis Center will be the focus of the upcoming West Hartford Women in Networking meeting.

At the August meeting of WWIN, Maryellen Shuckerow and Justine Couvares of The Chrysalis Center, a Hartford social services non-profit, will speak about what they offer at The Chrysalis Center and the impact they have on those they serve. They will share this information with a particular emphasis on health, wellness and recovery.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, from 7:30 – 9:45 a.m., at Chatfield, One Chatfield Dr., West Hartford, CT 06110.

Shuckerow, chief development officer for the Chrysalis Center, is a non-profit fundraising professional with over 20 years of experience. She has been in her role as a member of the executive team of
Chrysalis Center for 13 years. Her responsibilities at Chrysalis Center include all fundraising and development for the agency including grants, events, government relations, municipal and State government relations, marketing, and communications. Shuckerow is also responsible for overseeing and leading all community connections services, facilities, and is one of the executive leads for new housing development.

Couvares is the chief program officer at Chrysalis Center, Inc., and has over 25 years of experience in management, operations, sales and marketing. She furthers Chrysalis Center’s mission of transforming people’s lives through job training, employment services, housing and other community healthcare services.

There will also be introductions and breakout sessions. Breakfast snacks will be provided.
