West Hartford’s Westmoor Park has earned the distinction for its commitment to community gardening.

Submitted

Westmoor Park has been chosen as a destination for the Hartford-area bus tour conducted by the American Community Garden Association during its 38th annual conference, July 27-30 in Hartford.

This distinction comes as a result of Westmoor Park’s commitment to community gardening and in particular, it’s Plant-A-Row program, which provides approximately 2,000 pounds of produce each year for those in need.

The conference will include 55 workshops on all aspects of community gardening, eight tours of impressive gardening locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts, a film night, and a Saturday evening gala.

For ACGA conference information and registration, please call 877-ASK-ACGA or visit https://communitygarden.org/conference/registration/.
