Eric Feeney, a local school teacher, had seen one too many young students deal with the tragedy of losing a loved one so he decided to start a local charity to help families deal with loss. This was the beginning of “Friends of Feeney,” and this coming weekend Eric is asking you to join them in the Park Road Parade on Oct. 5, starting in the parking lot of Prospect Cafe at 9 a.m., and then for the Global Cardboard Challenge at Elmwood Senior Center from 1-3 p.m.
Donations of cardboard boxes, duct tape, and non-perishable food items are very welcome!
