West Hartford Police are investigating an armed robbery of the Wise Old Dog, also known as South Quaker Wine & Spirits, on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015.

According to West Hartford Police, the store clerk called police to report “two suspicious males in the area of his store wearing dark clothing and ski masks.”

While officers were en route to the store, the clerk called again and said that he had just been robbed at gunpoint, police said. The incident occurred at 8:02 p.m.

The clerk told police that the suspects walked into the store and one of them “brandished a chrome in color hand gun while demanding money.”

According to police, the suspects fled north on South Quaker Lane on foot. A track by the Connecticut State Police K9 unit did not locate the suspects, and police said it appeared that they were able to get into a waiting vehicle.

One of the suspects is described by police as a back male, between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants, and white and blue Nike sneakers. The only information about the second suspect is that he was wearing all dark clothing.

Anyone with information should contact West Hartford Police at 860-523-5203.
