Kol Zahav Chorale, under the direction of Cantor Joseph Ness, has created an intergenerational intercommunity choir under the auspices of the Mandell JCC of West Hartford. Our mission is to bring capable singers together from the Greater Hartford area to sing the music of the Jewish experience, music of Israel, Jewish liturgy from the world over and other culturally cogent music. Much of this will be accompanied by orchestra in small and large instrumental combinations.

Most recently, Kol Zahav Chorale received recognition by the Mandell JCC as an Impact Award Honoree. The chorale adds to the JCC’s cultural life as an inclusive community choir bringing forth the unifying power of music.

As synagogues are forced to close and as fewer synagogues have their own music programs, this is a wonderful solution to bring people from throughout the community together. The chorale welcomes additional experienced singers and encourages ithose interested to call Cantor Ness at  860-888-7650.
