West Hartford Police said that no one was injured in an accident Thursday afternoon which involved a car that struck a tractor trailer and got wedged under the truck.

The incident happened on New Britain Avenue, across from the intersection with Ridgewood Road at the entrance to the Sears Auto Center.

According to West Hartford Police Capt. Jeff Rose, the truck was turning into the driveway of Sears when the vehicle pulled up too close on the right side. As the truck was turning, it “grabbed” the car, Rose said.

The driver honked her horn repeatedly and the truck stopped.

According to police, the road was closed briefly while the vehicle was removed from underneath the truck.

“Thankfully no one was hurt,” Rose said.
