Are you 60 or older, a resident of West Hartford, and looking for meaningful conversations and new friendships? Are you alone, or new to town? Or just looking to feel happier and more connected?

We invite you to join our Circle of Friends – a Social Group for Seniors.

West Hartford Social Services is offering a six-week support group to help seniors combat loneliness and build connections. The group offers practical solutions and actionable strategies to improve social connections and emotional well-being. Each week will feature a different theme, gentle walks, creative activities, mindfulness, games, and laughter.

Come join us! The group will meet at Town Hall on Mondays, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., on March 16, March 23, March 30, April 6, April 13, and April 20. Please call Deanna Deshpande, LMSW, at 860-561-7574 or Monique Dixon, LMSW, at 860-561-7439 to register and secure your spot. If transportation is an issue, please call us.

Social connections never get old!

Anyone requiring auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a modification of policies or procedures to participate in a meeting, service, program, or activity of the Town of West Hartford, should contact Suzanne Oslander, ADA Coordinator, at [email protected] and 860-561-7580, preferably seven days beforehand.
