Jasmin Flores, a nurse and USJ alumnae who performed CPR on a 2-year-old toddler who was lifeless in his father’s arms after a multi-vehicle crash on I-91 this summer, will lead a community CPR training event at her alma mature, the University of Saint Joseph.

Flores, a psychiatric nurse from Ellington, is leading the training event to raise awareness about the importance of CPR, which she used to save the life of 2-year-old Noah Alexander after a three car crash in Rocky Hill on July 24 that killed one man and injured another.

Flores received two undergraduate degrees from USJ, a B.S. in Biology in 2001 and a B.S. in Nursing in 2004.  She is currently employed by New England Home Health Care.

The CPR instruction will be provided by Code One Training Solutions via one of its mobile training vehicles.  Code One will teach hands-only CPR, recommended for community users by the American Heart Association.

The event is free and open to the public.
