The Copper Beech Institute will offer a Zentangle® Retreat the weekend of February 6-8, 2015. Zentangle is a fun, easy-to-learn system of creating beautiful art using simple repeating patterns, and it’s for everyone with or without artistic ability. A series of workshops will be offered during the weekend for beginners, experienced Tanglers and everyone in between. Art materials will be provided.
Certified Zentangle Teachers Kathy Parulski, MB and Meredith Yuhas, PhD will co-lead this retreat. Kathy is a bookbinder and artist with a graduate certificate in women’s spirituality from Hartford Seminary. Meredith directs the Counseling and Wellness Center at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT.
In addition to creating wonderful works of art, Zentangle is a way to increase mindfulness, decrease stress and enhance creativity. It’s also a great way to relax.
The Zentangle Retreat includes optional yoga classes and mindfulness meditation practice sessions. Healing arts therapies, including massage and reflexology, are also available for an additional charge.
