CT Health Commissioner Backs Pediatric Group’s Vaccine Recommendations Over CDC’s

Connecticut, and 14 other states in the Governors Public Health Alliance, to remain committed to the AAP’s existing schedule, rather than adopting proposed changes.
State Public Health Commissioner Manisha Juthani has endorsed the American Academy of Pediatrics 2026 childhood vaccination recommendations, which the group announced earlier this week.
Juthani said the AAP’s immunization schedule incorporates “well-established, science-driven recommendations that physicians, public health officials, and parents can rely on to keep children healthy and communities protected.”
