Dixieland Concert Will Benefit West Hartford’s American Legion Baseball Team

American Legion Hayes-Velhage Post 96 will host Eastside Ramblers Dixieland Band in its West Hartford headquarters on Raymond Road.

The American Legion Hayes-Velhage Post 96 will hold a Dixieland Concert on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016, from 4 – 6 p.m. to benefit American Legion Baseball.
The concert will be held at the American Legion Hayes-Velhage Post 96 located at 45 Raymond Rd. and will feature the Eastside Ramblers Dixieland Band.
Legion Baseball Commissioner Ken Hungerford said, “We wanted to start our fundraising for the 2017 season early and thought this would be an opportune time while we enjoy the major league World Series playoffs. We’ve have had an outstanding American Legion baseball program in West Hartford since 1925 and look forward to another great season in 2017.”

With a current membership of 2.4 million wartime veterans, The American Legion was founded in 1919 on the four pillars of a strong national security, veterans affairs, Americanism, and youth programs.
