The morning will begin with snacks, face painting, crafts, and activities for children of all ages, creating a festive and welcoming environment for families. Following a brief story time, children will head outside to the church lawn for the much-anticipated Easter egg hunt.
Thousands of colorful eggs will be scattered across the grounds as children of all ages take part in the hunt, with a special appearance by the Easter Bunny adding to the excitement during the festivities. In the event of inclement weather, activities and the egg hunt will be held indoors.

“This is always such a special morning for our community,” said Karen Hammond, director of Faith Formation at Westminster Presbyterian Church. “It’s a little bit of chaos, a lot of laughter, and so many joyful moments for families to share together. We love seeing families return year after year to celebrate together.”
In addition to providing a joyful experience for families, the event also supports the broader community. In place of an admission fee, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for the West Hartford Food Pantry, helping extend the impact of the morning beyond the church grounds.
The event is open to everyone, and no registration is required.
Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Ridgewood and Boulevard, is committed to creating opportunities for connection, service, and celebration within the community. Events like the annual Easter Egg Hunt reflect the church’s mission to share love, joy, and compassion with all.
