In a CCC boys soccer match that saw neither team generate many scoring chances, Conard High freshman Anthony Catanzaro broke a scoreless game with less than 13 minutes remaining to give the Chieftains a 1-0 win over crosstown rival Northwest Catholic on Thursday, Sept. 19, at Brewer Field in West Hartford.

Moving down the right side, Catanzaro lifted a shot over Northwest Catholic goalkeeper John Cashman for the game winner.

Both teams were 2-1 after the match. Northwest Catholic plays at Hall on Sept. 24 and Conard hosts Southington that same day.
