Gas Prices Hit $4 In CT; Expert Says No Relief In Sight

Connecticut drivers are now paying about $4 a gallon for regular unleaded gas, according to AAA, as prices jump both statewide and nationally. The U.S. average also has risen above $4 for the first time in more than three years.

Just a month ago, gas prices in CT averaged around $2.90 per gallon, and this week gas prices jumped five cents overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. The increase has tightened budgets for consumers across the state, officials said.
