Giant Tabor House Tag Sale Begins Thursday

The annual Tabor House Tag Sale, now in its 22nd year, has been moved from the Sisters of St. Joseph to Trinity College this year.

The 22nd Annual Tabor House Giant Tag sale/Auction, formerly at the Convent Sisters of St. Joseph in West Hartford, has become a Connecticut tradition to benefit formerly homeless men living with HIV/AIDS who now live at both homes.
This event has utilized over 300 volunteers annually who work all week to set it up. The event also benefits the immigrant and poor population of the inner city who need to outfit their residences with affordable items. One-hundred percent of the proceeds go to Tabor House.
This event has received awards and recognition through the years from Bank of America, Lysol, Santa Rita Wine, Liberty Bank, Hartford Business Journal, Thomson-Reuters, University of Hartford and the New England Patriots.
In 2015 David Dyson Event Manager was given the Noah Webster award by the Mayor of West Hartford, the town’s highest award.
The tag sale/auction will take place on Thursday, July 28, from 5-8 p.m, for $10 admission the the opening reception and shopping. On Friday, July 29, the sale will be held from noon – 6 p.m. with an admission cost of $1.00. On Saturday, July 30, the sale will be open from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m., and admission is free.
The Tabor House Giant Tag Sale/Auction will be held at the Koeppel Community Sports Center at Trinity College, 175 New Britain Ave. at the Corner of Broad Street in Hartford. There is free off-street parking.
All proceeds benefits Tabor House AIDS residences in Hartford.
