It was a battle to the end in a matchup where both teams entered with identical 2–5 records, but Hall ultimately came out on top with a 37-30 win at home in West Hartford, improving to 3-5 on the season.
Manchester struck first with a five-yard rushing touchdown from Eshan Manu to make it 6-0, but Hall’s defense prevented the two-point conversion. The Titans responded quickly, finding their rhythm on offense with a few long drives – including a 30-yard trick-play completion that set them up in prime scoring position. Quarterback Tommy Hussey connected with Jordan Scher for a 22-yard touchdown to give Hall a 7-6 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Manchester answered early in the second quarter with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Samuel Mojica, regaining the lead 14-7. Hall then chipped away with a field goal to make it 14-10, before a huge defensive stand changed the momentum. A sack from Carlos Jariel Nunez and Declan Mitchell gave Hall the spark they needed.
With 24 seconds left in the half, Hussey hit Lincoln Ruel for a touchdown – Ruel’s first of the season – to send Hall into halftime with a 17-14 lead and all the momentum.

The Titans kept their foot on the gas in the second half. Scher broke free for another 30-yard touchdown, extending the lead to 23-14. Then, a perfectly executed onside kick recovered by Declan Mitchell stunned Manchester and kept Hall’s offense on the field.
A few plays later, Solomon Levy made a heads-up recovery on a blocked pass to keep the drive alive, and Hussey connected with Quinn O’Neil for another score to make it 30-14.
Just when it seemed the game was sealed, Manchester stormed back with two late touchdowns to tie the game 30-30. But Hall refused to fold this time – a familiar theme they were determined to break.

A clutch rushing touchdown from Jaden Ortiz put Hall back on top, and an interception from Bryan Amorim sealed the win for good.
Hussey had one of his best outings of the season, finishing with four touchdown passes and over 200 yards through the air, showing poise and control in key moments. Scher was his top target with two touchdowns and multiple explosive catches that kept drives alive.
After the game, quarterback Tommy Hussey reflected on the emotional rollercoaster of the night: “It was a wild game. We started slow – went three-and-out on our first two drives – but then scored on our next four. We went up 16, and like we’ve seen this season, we’ve had a theme of blowing games late. But this time, the team dug down deep and got over that hump. It was great to get a true team win today.”

The Titans showed resilience, composure, and the ability to finish – a major step forward as they continue to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.
Hall will travel to Platt next week before ending the season at home, hosting crosstown West Hartford rival Conard (3-5, also with a win on Friday night) on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1:30 p.m.
