The SafeGrad Committee, part of the Hall High School PTO, is inviting community members to participate in a new fundraising effort that turns gently used household items into direct support for local students.
Through a partnership with the Savers FUNDrive program, the PTO is collecting donations of clothing, shoes, and other household goods. The items will be delivered to Savers, which purchases the donated goods and returns funds to the organization, which will directly benefit the fundraising effort for the annual SafeGrad substance-free graduation party for seniors.
Community members are encouraged to take part by cleaning out closets and donating gently used items such as clothing, accessories, bedding, books, and small household goods. Items can be dropped off at Hall High School on March 28 between 9am and 2pm. Look for signs directing to the drop off location in the back parking lot.
“This fundraiser gives families and neighbors an easy way to make a meaningful impact,” organizers said. “By donating items they no longer need, community members can help support our students while also promoting reuse and sustainability.”
The FUNDrive model allows nonprofit organizations and school groups to raise funds without selling products, while also helping keep usable goods out of landfills. Items collected through these drives are reused or resold, creating both financial and environmental benefits.
