Hall Sends Message With Dominant Win Over Conard

Crosstown West Hartford rivals Conard and Hall boys boys basketball teams faced off Thursday night.

The Hall Titans made a resounding statement Thursday night, dominating crosstown rival Conard Red Wolves 69-34 at home in a matchup that left little doubt from the opening tip.
Entering the contest at 8-2, Hall asserted its experience and depth against a Conard squad that came in at 4-5, controlling the game on both ends of the floor and turning the rivalry matchup into a decisive victory.

Hall set the tone immediately, racing out to a commanding 22-3 lead by the end of the first period. The Titans opened the scoring when a rebound by Maxwell St. Arromand led to a 3-pointer from Isaiah Gaston. Moments later, Aiden Delaney, playing in his first game back from injury, added a 2-point basket to extend the early lead.
Conard got on the board at the free-throw line when Amir Hughes converted one following a foul by St. Arromand. Hall quickly responded as Gaston secured a rebound and finished through contact for an and-one to make it 7-1. Eli Kramer followed with a defensive breakup, a layup, and a drawn foul to push the advantage to 10-1.

Delaney continued his strong return with another layup and an additional foul to make it 13-1. Kramer added another basket to extend the lead to 15-1 before Delaney knocked down a three-pointer to stretch the margin to 18-1. St. Arromand capped the dominant opening quarter with a layup, firmly establishing Hall’s control.
The second period mirrored the first, as Hall continued to overwhelm Conard on both ends of the floor. Delaney connected on another 3-pointer, Gaston added a two-point basket, and layups from Delaney, St. Arromand, and Kramer fueled the offense. Defensively, the Titans remained sharp, with multiple breakups from St. Arromand and Gaston, taking a 37-15 lead into halftime.

Hall’s offense remained relentless in the second half, highlighted by multiple 3-pointers from Delaney and strong finishes at the rim from Gaston and St. Arromand. The Titans never let up, cruising to a convincing 69-34 victory.
Delaney led all scorers with 23 points, including four 3-pointers, in an impressive return to the lineup. Gaston added 12 points as Hall capped off a dominant performance in the rivalry matchup.
Conard will travel to Plainfield on Saturday and is scheduled to host Cromwell on Monday and Simsbury on Tuesday.
Hall’s next game is scheduled for Tuesday at home vs. Bloomfield.
