The Sixth Year in “Revue” for Hello! West Hartford will be held on Monday, April 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the West Hartford Town Hall, 50 South Main St.
This townwide cultural celebration grows every year and will feature more music, food, and cultural displays. Superintendent, Tom Moore will be announcing the two Dr. Karen List Global Ambassador Award winners from Hall and Conard. These two students were selected because they promote and embrace the West Hartford global community and connect to the town’s diverse cultures.
“Hello! West Hartford honors all of the immigrants that have decided to make West Hartford their home. First generation, second generation and all citizens have opportunity to share their culture at this celebration. There has never been a better time to celebrate all the wonderful cultures that make up our diverse town,” shared Clare Neseralla.
This year we are excited to have Kate Callahan join us to finalize the evening. Committed performers include student musicians from Hall, Conard, Charter Oak, Intensive Education Academy, and Northwest Catholic, as well as the Trinity Samba Ensemble.
Entertainment will include Nepali, Peruvian, Chinese, Mexican, and Irish Dancers. International food will be provided by Delicacy Market, Bombay Olive, Taste of India, Mount Everest Spice, and there will be other tasty treats so residents can sample the many flavors of West Hartford.
Individual groups, associations, businesses, and students share their language and culture in this cultural fair. It’s not too late to sign up to, join in, or come as you are!
