Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development Daniel O’Keefe said that the group met with over 40 businesses during their trip, some of which were manufacturers and others venture capital funds.

Building the state’s economic relationships with Germany and other nations hinges on showing Connecticut to be a place of stability amidst a tumultuous political landscape, Gov. Ned Lamont said Tuesday.

Speaking at AdvanceCT in New Haven – which helped organize and lead the governor’s trip to Munich, Stuttgart, and Berlin – Lamont said that the conversations often steered toward the impact of the approaching elections in November.
