On Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at 6:30 p.m., Journey Home will host its Third Annual Gala, Home is Where the Heart Is.
Many local individuals, businesses, and corporations are making this event possible. The wider community’s commitment to the improvement of our entire region is startling and Journey Home is grateful for the deep investment of so many in our work and mission. Together, we will end homelessness.
The Gala is being held at The Atrium at CityPlace 185 Asylum St. in Hartford, and will feature elegant fare by Max Downtown, a Live Auction with iHeart Media’s Renee DiNino, food and beverage tastings from NoRA Cupcakes, Hartford Flavor Company, and Litchfield Distillery, a plethora of silent auction items, and many other fun games and surprises.
The Greater Hartford region has recently witnessed a 75 percent decline in chronic (long-term) homelessness and Journey Home is proud to have been a part of this incredible achievement.
We are grateful to our many community partners for their years of effort to make such amazing progress. We have witnessed firsthand the power of collaboration.
As we set our sights on continuing this work, and move forward to end homelessness among youth and families, we find ourselves overwhelmed and inspired by how far we have come and enter the future with the great hope and knowledge that homelessness can, and will, be an injustice of the past.
All proceeds from this event will be used to continue the work that we do at Journey Home. Your support will allow us to continue to lead initiatives to end homelessness in the Greater Hartford region. There are still tickets available. For more information please visit journeyhomect.org/gala or contact Sara Salomons at 860-808-0336 or [email protected].
Journey Home’s mission is to ensure a home for all. We believe the most powerful way to do this is collectively- by working together with service providers, elected officials, businesses and local communities to end homelessness in Greater Hartford. We will build partnerships, advance innovative solutions and achieve enduring, systemic change.
