Kent Byrd ’13, a member of the men’s lacrosse team at Bates College, has earned All-Academic honors for the Spring ’15 semester from the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC).

The son of Christopher and Kimberley Byrd of West Hartford, Byrd is majoring in economics. To make the NESCAC All-Academic list, a student-athlete must be a varsity athlete with sophomore standing and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.35.

At KO, Byrd was a National Merit Commended student and was named an Academic All-American by U.S. Lacrosse
