FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge for Connecticut, Anish Shukla, praised law enforcement in the state and outlined ways that the FBI can help local and state law enforcement if the need arises.

Local, state, and federal law enforcement officials gathered Tuesday at the state Capitol for the third Campus Policing and Public Safety Leaders summit to discuss ways to promote safety on college and university campuses across Connecticut.

Ronnell Higgins, commissioner of the state Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, met with reporters for a news conference during the closed-to-the-public summit’s lunch break. He didn’t share specifics of what was being discussed during the ongoing summit between over 50 law enforcement and community members, but Higgins did offer an overview of what the summit was designed to accomplish.
