New England Urgent Care will hold “free” camp physical exam clinics for children age 4 to 18 in its West Hartford medical office at 21 North Main St. from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays. The offer runs from May 15 to June 12.
In exchange for the no-cost camp exam, New England Urgent Care is accepting donations of any amount to benefit the Hole In The Wall Gang Camp. The late actor Paul Newman founded the camp in 1988. It provides “a different kind of healing” to more than 20,000 seriously ill New England children and family members annually.
New England Urgent Care Medical Director and Co-founder Dr. Michael Gutman, MD, PhD, FACEP will perform the physical exams. No appointment is necessary.
“New England Urgent Care has always been involved in the community. This is an ideal way to give back to the community and help a worthy cause,” said Gutman.
New England Urgent Care, West Hartford is one of four clinics in the New England Urgent Care network.
New England Urgent Care’s unique capabilities set it apart from other urgent cares. It is the only urgent care in Connecticut – and one of only a handful across the United States – that is staffed with Emergency Medicine-experienced RN/Provider teams. Where other urgent care clinics turn away patients with complex, non-life threatening health issues, its staff can treat patients of all ages – including newborns and the elderly – with the same or better outcomes as an ER but in a shorter time and at far less expense. And, New England Urgent Care is the only urgent care in the state that can direct admit patients to many local area hospitals if needed.
“If you haven’t been to New England Urgent Care, bring your children in for a camp physical and check us out. Depending on interest, we may add more days to the schedule. Please visit our website at www.UrgentCareNewEngland.com for details and updates,” added Gutman.
