Northwest Catholic Athlete Commits to Play Division I Baseball

Northwest Catholic baseball player and senior Justin Gallicchio finalized his commitment on Nov. 12, 2015 to compete in Division I college baseball at Bryant University.

The son of Keith and Regina Gallicchio of Burlington, Justin joined the Northwest Catholic baseball team as a junior and was a key part of the team’s 2015 Class S State Championship win. He was named All-Conference and All-Courant for his junior year.

Justin pitched 12 games during the 2015 season, compiling a record of 7-1, with one save and an ERA of 1.20. He had 24 hits, including eight doubles and two home runs, with a batting average of .387. Justin also had 19 RBIs and scored 10 runs.

“Justin is a special kid who has proven to his teammates and athletes from other sports that hard work pays off,” said Northwest Catholic Athletic Director Matthew Martorelli ’03. “As a community, we are extremely proud of him and look forward to another successful season this spring.”

Since 1961, Northwest Catholic’s mission has been to educate the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and soul. Enrollment for the Class of ’20 is now under way, and prospective students are invited to the take the Entrance Exam at Northwest Catholic on December 5, 2015.
