The Northwest Catholic varsity girls soccer team opened the season at home in West Hartford with a decisive victory.

Northwest Catholic varsity girls soccer kicked off the season with a home opener win vs. Berlin, 9-2.

According to a New Britain Herald report, the Lions’ goals were scored by Maeve Staunton (2), Allie Loveless (2), Lily Johnson (2),  Zoey Canning, and Sam Casper.

In 2024, Northwest Catholic made it all the way to the CIAC Class M championship game before losing to Lewis Mills, 2-1.

The Lions will next host Granby Memorial on Friday, Sept. 5, beginning at 3:45 p.m.
