Northwest Catholic High School Joins Prestigious Spalding Hoophall Classic

The undefeated Northwest Catholic Lions boys basketball team joins top U.S. teams that have been invited to participate in the tournament.

West Hartford’s Northwest Catholic High School Lions will travel to Springfield College to participate in the Spalding HOOPHALL Classic, provided by the Basketball Hall of Fame.
The undefeated NWC boys have the opportunity to tip off the weekend’s event, taking on Newton North High School from Newtonville, MA on Thursday at 3 p.m. Newton will be team’s biggest challenge so far this year, currently sitting at 6-1 and the second ranked team in Massachusetts.
NWC remains focused on the competition and opportunity to play on a national platform at the Hoophall Classic. Fans can attend the classic Hoophall Classic :: Tickets or tune in to watch the Lions at BallerTV – Live Stream Youth Sports.
The prestigious 2023 Spalding Hoophall Classic at the Springfield College Blake Arena is held Jan. 12-16. Now in its 21st year the Hoophall Classic has featured many elite NBA and WNBA players. The Classic is a collection of the top players, teams and coaches that makes up a diverse field of boys and girls’ teams that represent local, regional, and national teams. The 32-game event over five days will feature 54 teams from across the country and is widely known as the top high school basketball event in the United States.
In addition to regional participants, the tournament will feature teams from 17 states (Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C.).
