NWC AP Scholars Include Nine from West Hartford

A total of 46 Northwest Catholic HIgh School students received the AP Scholar designation.

Nine West Hartford residents were among the 46 Northwest Catholic High School students named AP Scholars for 2014.

Ana Colliton ’14, John Fox ’14, Molly McDonald ’14, Dylan Robinson ’14 and Simone Smith ’14 were named AP Scholars. Julia Fountain ’14, Margaret Rose ’14 and Victeria Vu ’14 were recognized as AP Scholars with Honor, while Christopher Gosselin ’14 was named an AP Scholar with Distinction.

Students must earn scores of 3 or higher on three or more Advanced Placement Exams to be named an AP Scholar. To be designated an AP Scholar with Honor, students must earn an average score of at least 3.25 on all Advanced Placement Exams taken, and a score of 3 or higher on four or more of the exams. AP Scholars with Distinction must earn an average score of 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and a score of 3 or higher on five or more of the tests.

Since 1961, Northwest Catholic’s mission has been to educate the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and soul.
