NWC Student from West Hartford Commits to Play Division I Basketball

Northwest Catholic basketball player and senior Haley Connors signed a letter of intent on Nov. 13, 2014 to compete in Division I college basketball at Bryant University.

The daughter of Edward and Amy Connors of West Hartford, Haley has been a member of the varsity girls’ basketball team since her freshman year. She was named All-Academic during her sophomore and junior seasons, and as a junior, she was named a team captain, team MVP, and All-Conference. Haley has scored over 800 points for Northwest Catholic in her first three seasons, including 128 three-pointers.

Haley played AAU basketball with the Connecticut South Rebels of West Hartford from 5th through 10th grade. In 11th grade, she played AAU basketball with the Hudson Valley Elite of the Westchester County, New York. In her most recent AAU season, Haley averaged 16.5 points per game, completing 82 percent of her free throws, 55 percent of her field goals and 40 percent of her 3-point shots.

Haley was also a member of the Northwest Catholic girls’ soccer team as a freshman and sophomore, playing on the varsity squad her sophomore year and earning All-Academic honors.
