Renbrook School proudly participated in the recent Hartford Chapter MATHCOUNTS Competition, joining 12 schools and 98 students in a rigorous test of mathematical skill, problem solving, and teamwork. Seven Renbrook Mathletes represented the school with impressive preparation, focus, and collaboration under the expert coaching of math teacher Marianne Michailow.
Renbrook students competed both individually and as a team. Representing Renbrook as individual competitors were Eesa Ahmad, Leo Lin, and James Manafort. Competing as both individual participants and members of Team Renbrook were Soham Arora, Daniel Huo, Mason Nickeo, and Vincent Sui.
The Renbrook team earned an outstanding 5th place finish overall, just one position shy of qualifying for the State Round. This strong result reflects the students’ dedication, perseverance, and ability to work together under pressure.
Renbrook also celebrates two exceptional individual achievements. Daniel Huo and Vincent Sui both qualified for the MATHCOUNTS State Round, which will take place later this March at Yale University.
Congratulations to Daniel, Vincent, and all of our Mathletes for representing Renbrook School with excellence, determination, and pride.
