On Monday, Feb.24, U.S. Rep. John Larson will be hosting a discussion on the future of Social Security.

“Social Security isn’t an entitlement, it’s an earned benefit that you’ve paid for in each and every paycheck! It is the working American’s retirement guarantee, providing economic security for millions of Americans including seniors, people with disabilities, and children and spouses who have lost a provider. We need to enhance the program’s benefits so that no one who has worked their whole life retires into poverty,” Larson said.

The discussion will focus on the importance of protecting Social Security and how the Social Security 2100 Act will enhance benefits for current retirees and future generations.

The forum will be held at the Elmwood Community Center, 1106 New Britain Ave., West Hartford, on Monday, Feb. 24, from 10-11:30 a.m. Anyone with questions can call Larson’s office at 860-278-8888.
