The Rotary Club of West Hartford is holding a cocktail party at The Pond House at Elizabeth Park Monday, Oct. 6, from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., and all adults are welcome!

The event will serve as a showcase for Rotary International, the local Club, and the service projects that bring tremendous benefits to West Hartford’s citizens. Whether you are interested in becoming a member or simply have always wondered what Rotary is and does, please plan to attend this informative and fun reception.

Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, a pasta station, Pond House delicacies and a cash bar while learning more about West Hartford’s Third Grade Dictionary Project from Noah Webster himself! You’ll also find out about the Sixth Grade Writing Project, Rotary’s support of The Town that Cares, and its Thanksgiving Food Drive collaboration with Liberty Bank.

One of the organizations Rotary supports – Gifts of Music – will be bringing student award winners to perform a few selections of their music during the evening.

“We are so grateful to The Pond House Café for providing us with its beautiful venue as a backdrop for an important community conversation about Rotary,” said Club President Cynthia R. Lang. “West Hartford Rotarians will share their Rotary stories and welcome the community to learn about who we serve right here in town and around the world. This is a great opportunity to meet our Club members in a relaxed, beautiful environment,” Lang explained.

Tickets cost $20.00 per person; all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Rotary Club of West Hartford’s Service Chest.  Purchase tickets online at www.pondhousecafe.com/event.
