The Sammy Spider series of children’s books by Kar-Ben Publishing that teaches about Jewish holidays and practices to preschoolers, will be featured at The Emanuel Synagogue Book Fair, Sunday, May 3, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The synagogue, at 160 Mohegan Drive, West Hartford, is holding the book fair in conjunction with a retirement celebration for their long time educator, Judith Fox.
“This is a fitting way to honor our educator as well as raise money for our synagogue” commented librarian Beth Katten. She noted that many children’s books will be available as well as titles by Jewish Lights which specializes in books by well-known authors on spiritual themes. Some adult fiction will also be available.
The book fair is open to the public. All are welcome to attend. For more information call 860-233-2774, email[email protected] or visit www.emanuelsynagogue.org.
