When they heard [through a story in We-Ha.com last week] that the West Hartford Food Pantry is suffering a severe shortage, the students at Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Hartford took immediate action.

Guided by the value that it is an obligation to alleviate suffering, students advertised in the school’s newsletter and used social media to ask the community for help restocking the food pantry’s shelves with cereal and pasta.

Within a few short days, the students collected several boxes and bags of food that have been delivered to the food pantry this week.
