Get ready to tap your toes and stomp your feet to the music of the crowd-favorite Jolly Beggars Band at a concert of family friendly traditional Celtic folk music. In addition to lively vocals, the band plays a variety of instruments including guitars, mandolin, tin whistles, mandola, double bass, bodhran, spoons and more. To be held Sunday, March 1 at 5 p.m. in the auditorium of First Church at 12 South Main Street, the band returns to First Church with its rich tradition of Celtic folk music and storytelling. A benefit for the Music & Fine Arts Fund, there is a suggested donation of $10 for adults and children under 12 will be admitted free with a contribution of a non-perishable food item. The church is accessible. For more information please call 860-233-9605, or visit www.whfirstchurch.org.
