Days in a session at the Bridge Summer Camp: 5
Campers in the July crew: 13, but the number of friendships made is an even higher permutation of that. This group was supportive, got along well, and challenged each other to try everything. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and many campers returned for session 2.
Adventures in a week: 9! It was ambitious for one week, but these kids have seemingly endless energy and love to be on the go. Curious about the adventures? The campers tackled whirly ball, Nomads Adventure Quest, Soar Indoors, roller skating, a movie at Blue Back Square, mini-golf, bowling, laser tag, and finally, Lake Compounce. It’s exhausting just listing those!
[metaslider id=”1154″]Average age of a camper: 13, although there were tweens and older teens as well. It was a wonderful mix of young people from grades 6 to 9 who brought with them vibrant personalities and a common thirst for adventure!
Days with rain: 3. But, as ever during a New England summer, it did not matter one bit to these eager campers. On the flip-side, that meant 2 lovely days of sunshine for the end of the week, perfect for their Lake Compounce outing!
Tie-dye colors used to make t-shirts to wear on the last day to Lake Compounce: 8, but if you combine that with the colors of string used to weave bracelets into cool styles and patterns, the number jumps to 32. These talented campers could braid a rope that would turn a sailor green with envy!
Hours of sleep required at the end of the camp week: 10, but we are purely speaking for our counselors. We have no idea what time the kids woke up on Saturday morning, but we hope for their parents’ sake, we wore them out and they all slept in!
