Hall entered the game with a 3-0 record, continuing its strong start to the season. With its CCC South championship banner lifted above the ice at Veterans Memorial Rink before the game, Hall turned celebration into a statement.
Connor McHugh came in just four points shy of the 100-point milestone, while Benjamin Goldstein had been red-hot offensively, recording hat tricks in each of the previous two games.
Defense and goaltending set the tone early. Matthew Bonner made eight saves in the opening period to keep Hall level. Goldstein recorded a key defensive breakup, and Matthew McDermott added another to help limit scoring chances. Despite opportunities at both ends, the first period ended in a 0-0 tie.

Bonner continued his strong play in the second period, turning aside nine shots. The Hall defense remained disciplined, with defensive breakups from Tommy Leahy and Sawyer Hollander to minimize Enfield’s scoring chances.
The offense finally broke through on a power play after Enfield’s Ethan Samek was called for cross-checking. Goldstein capitalized on the opportunity, scoring the game’s lone go-ahead goal, assisted by Benjamin Putnam and Charles DeBassio. But Enfield was able to strike with 30 seconds left in the period when Kyle Malecki assisted Cooper Love in the tying goal.

Hall’s defense remained strong in the third period, with key defensive breakups from Zach Orsey and McDermott to preserve the lead and limit Enfield’s scoring opportunities.
The game extended into overtime, where Hall continued to rely on its defensive structure. Liam Flemming, DeBassio, and Putnam each recorded critical defensive breakups, helping secure the result as Hall held firm through the extra period.

Despite sustained pressure in the third period and overtime, neither team was able to find a decisive goal. Behind consistent goaltending from Bonner, who recorded 27 saves, and a disciplined defensive effort throughout regulation and overtime, Hall preserved the draw, remaining unbeaten and continuing its strong start to the season.
Hall will travel to Cromwell on Wednesday night (7 p.m.) to meet the Terriers, and will face crosstown West Hartford rival Conard at Veterans on Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. start.
