A scoreless opening period gave the Hall Titans early momentum, but a difficult second frame shifted the game’s direction as the Eagles pulled away. Despite the final score, Hall showed defensive discipline, physical intensity, and sustained effort throughout the night, battling until the final horn in a 7-0 loss.

The opening period saw the Titans come out strong, matching the Eagles stride for stride. Hall’s defense was sharp throughout the period, with multiple breakups from Benjamin Putnam, Charles Debassio, Jonah Rottman, and Jordan Scher. In net, Matthew Bonner anchored the Titans with four saves to keep the game scoreless.

Hall also set the physical tone early, delivering several hard hits, notably from Benjamin Goldstein, Jordan Scher, and Zachery Orsey. The Titans generated multiple scoring chances but were unable to capitalize, and the first period ended in a 0-0 tie.

The second period proved more challenging for Hall, as the Eagles scored five goals to take control of the game. Despite the surge, the Titans continued to battle defensively, with additional breakups from Goldstein. Bonner stayed busy in net, recording 10 saves in the period. While Hall maintained its physical style of play, the Eagles’ speed and execution created separation on the scoreboard.

Following the game, the Titans reflected on a strong start that slipped away as the night progressed. “I thought we came out well in the first period – we had a lot of jump in our legs,” the coach said. “We were doing a lot of things well and got to our forecheck. But we came out flat in the second and never really got back to our game of speed and fast hockey.”

Hall continued to play with physicality in the third period, delivering consistent contact and competing through the final horn, but was unable to generate offense against the Eagles (10-3). The Titans ultimately fell 7-0, closing the night with a scoreline that did not fully reflect the competitiveness and effort shown, particularly early in the game.

The Titans (6-3-1) will try to get back on track with upcoming home games against New Milford (1-8-2) on Saturday afternoon and the Suffield-Granby-Windsor Locks Wildcats (7-6) on Monday night.
