UConn Title IX Coordinator Will Address Women’s Networking Group

UConn Associate Vice President of the Office of Diversity and Equity Elizabeth Conklin will speak at the next meeting of the West Hartford Women in Networking.

At this month’s meeting of West Hartford Women in Networking, our guest will be Elizabeth Conklin, the dynamic Associate Vice President of the Office of Diversity and Equity at University of Connecticut. 

The meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, from 7:30-9:45 a.m. at Chatfield, One Chatfield Dr., West Hartford.

Conklin serves as the Associate Vice President of the Office of Diversity and Equity (ODE) and as UConn’s Title IX Coordinator and ADA Coordinator. She is responsible for overseeing each of ODE’s areas of focus, including discrimination case management, campus-wide trainings for diversity and sexual harassment, coordination of employee requests for accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act, search and hiring affirmative action and equal employment opportunity compliance, and various diversity and harassment prevention initiatives.

In addition, as UConn’s Title IX Coordinator, Conklin coordinates the University’s response to reports of sex-based discrimination efforts to ensure UConn’s commitment to creating and maintaining a campus environment free from all forms of sexual violence, harassment, exploitation, and intimidation.
